"To arrive at a just estimate of a renowned man's character one must judge it by the standards of his time not ours." Mark Twain
What is a Civil War Round Table?
A group that promotes interest in the American Civil War through the use of speakers, newsletters and other educational activities. Guest speakers feature topics ranging from biographies, battles, politics, influential men and women and issues of interest to the presenter. The only criterion for membership is to have a genuine interest in expanding one's knowledge of the War Between the States.
Our membership comprises everyone from the novice to the lifelong enthusiast. Civil War round tables were started over forty years ago in Chicago, Illinois and can be found in cities throughout the country.
When And Where We Meet:
The North Bay Civil War Round Table meets the third Wednesday of the month at:
Sam's For Play
2630 Cleveland Ave.
Santa Rosa, CA 95403
Annual dues are $30 per year for an individual or family up to two members. Junior memberships (18 or under) are $5. The dues are used to cover expenses for the speakers, administrative costs and an annual contribution to the Civil War Preservation Trust.
Keep in mind that you cannot ask the History Channel a question and "Access Is Not Necessarily Knowledge".
